The Anesthesia Group of Albany, P.C. will provide anesthesia care during your surgical procedure. We are the exclusive provider of anesthesia services at the following facilities:

• Capital Region Ambulatory Surgery Ctr (Albany, NY)
• Everett Road Ambulatory Surgery Ctr (Albany, NY)
• Executive Woods Ambulatory Surgery Ctr (Albany, NY)
• Saratoga Schenectady Endoscopy Center (Burnt Hills, NY)
• St. Peter’s Hospital (Albany, NY)
• St. Peter’s Surgery & Endoscopy Center (Albany, NY)

There will be a separate charge for our professional services, which are covered by the medical portion of health insurance plans, not the hospital portion. Please be sure that you have provided the correct medical insurance card(s) to the facility admitting staff. They will forward a copy to our billing office. For your information, we participate with the following insurance plans:

If you are covered by a health insurance plan that is not listed above, you will be responsible in full for payment for our professional services. We will submit a claim to your carrier as a courtesy to you. In most cases if you are having a procedure at one of the above listed facilities and are covered by a health insurance plan that is not listed above, the charges for our professional services will be considered a “surprise bill” under New York State Law because a participating provider of professional anesthesia services is not available at that facility. If our charges to you are a “surprise bill”, you have the right to assign your benefits to us. With respect to services that would be covered by your health insurance plan, if you assign your benefits to us, you are responsible only for your applicable co-payment, coinsurance or deductible that you would otherwise owe if we participated with your health insurance plan. You remain responsible in full for charges related to any non-covered services. If applicable, more information regarding the assignment of benefits will be included in our bill for services. If you are uninsured or have employer or union self-funded insurance coverage, the above protections do not apply but you may have the right to dispute the amount of your invoice. Contact the NYS Department of Financial Services for more information.

In addition, if you are covered by a health insurance plan that is not listed above, an estimate of the amount of our fee for professional anesthesia services is available upon request by calling our billing office at 518-465-0803 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Please note, to provide an estimated fee, you will need to provide us with the CPT code for your surgical procedure and the estimated time. Your surgeon’s office should be able to give you this information.
